Summary

Job Title: Ekahau Wireless Survey Engineer

Location: Travel Across the U.S. (Initial Onsite in Austin, TX)

Job Type: Contract (6 Months)

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ekahau Wireless Survey Engineer to perform enterprise wireless site surveys at customer locations across the United States. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Ekahau Sidekick and Ekahau AI Pro to conduct wireless surveys. This role is travel-intensive and requires flexibility to travel on short notice.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing wireless site surveys using Ekahau.
  • Hands-on experience with Ekahau Sidekick.
  • Experience conducting passive, active, and validation wireless surveys.
  • Basic understanding of enterprise Wi-Fi and WLAN technologies.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States on short notice.
  • Ability to walk large customer facilities and operational areas while performing surveys.
  • Must be comfortable managing travel arrangements and submitting expense reports.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform wireless site surveys using Ekahau Sidekick and Ekahau AI Pro.
  • Travel to customer locations across the U.S. to conduct onsite wireless assessments.
  • Capture and collect wireless survey data.
  • Submit completed Ekahau project files to the project supervisors.
  • Perform pre-deployment, post-deployment, and validation wireless surveys.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure survey data is collected accurately.
  • Follow project schedules and maintain clear communication with project managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki wireless environments.
  • Understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless networking concepts.
  • Experience identifying wireless coverage issues and RF interference.
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 6E technologies.

Additional Information

  • This position requires frequent nationwide travel.
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed; however, candidates must be able to initially cover travel expenses using their own credit card.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to joining.
