R&D Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity in
Acton, MA. This hands-on role supports the development and assembly of innovative medical devices in a cleanroom and laboratory environment. Ideal candidates have experience with small-part assembly, manufacturing processes, and regulated production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual and semi-automated assembly of small, intricate medical device components
- Operate and maintain basic manufacturing and inspection equipment
- Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and process documentation
- Record process data, observations, and build results accurately
- Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and adjustment of assembly fixtures and tools
- Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes and support product development
- Maintain compliance with GMP, ISO, and cleanroom procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, assembly technician, or R&D production experience
- Comfortable working with small parts under microscopes or magnification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Medical device or cleanroom experience preferred
Schedule
- On-site in Acton, MA
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
