Job Overview:

Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr

We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Application Support Engineer to provide production support for containerized applications in enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and troubleshooting complex system issues.
This role involves ensuring application stability, performance optimization, and seamless collaboration with DevOps and development teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide L2 and L3 production support for containerized applications running on Kubernetes.
Monitor cluster and application health using industry-standard monitoring and logging tools.
Troubleshoot application, pod, node, and networking issues within Kubernetes environments.
Manage deployments using Helm charts and CI/CD pipelines.
Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams for release management and environment stability.
Manage scaling, resource optimization, and performance tuning of workloads.
Handle Kubernetes upgrades, patching, and cluster maintenance.
Implement and maintain security best practices including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture and components.
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
Experience with cloud platforms including Azure or Google Cloud.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools.
Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
Understanding of networking concepts including ingress, services, DNS, and load balancing.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

Should Have:

Experience working in 24/7 support environments.
Familiarity with ITIL-based incident and change management processes.
Strong collaboration experience with cross-functional teams.

Skills:

Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Cloud computing and infrastructure.
Monitoring and logging.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Performance tuning and optimization.
Communication and stakeholder management.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Equivalent practical experience in application support or DevOps environments.
