Description
Two Squads in total for this work:
Precision Squad-The precision squad will be 5 Data Engineer consultants in total. They will be focused on work tied to switching over from Kevel to Google Ad Manager (GAM) and moving from home grown Ad Server into Operative AOS. DE's here will help with connecting GAM and AOS, migrating data from the homegrown system to AOS, transforming any data needed, normalizing data across platforms from a standards/data quality perspective, as well as some automating of flows and reporting. Heavy DbT, Snowflake and some Looker/BI understanding is probably beneficial. The Precision team currently has a handful of FTEs so these consultants will not be by themselves when joining. The second half of year's work focused on CDP (Customer Data Platform) and work involved with that after platform is selected.
Programmatic Squad- is two engineers and it may be possible to convert these folks down the line. They will be focused on overhauling campaign management system; communication skills are important here as well as custom API writing skills with the DbT and Snowflake standard Data Engineer tech skills. Somewhat similar work reasons/needs to Precision for day-to-day idea technical work but a little bit more custom/problem solving mentality may be needed here comparatively.
Data Warehousing & Transformation
Snowflake - advanced modeling, performance tuning, warehouse optimization, semi structured handling, curated/Gold layer design.
dbt (Data Build Tool) - complex transformations, tests (unique/not null/relationships/custom), metrics modeling, CI integration, documentation.
Programming & Data Processing
Python - core language for:
o API consumption/custom connectors
o Automation jobs
o Data transformations
o Reusable libraries & validation frameworks
Data Pipelines & Orchestration
Airflow - production DAGs, dependency management, SLAs, retries, backfills, data quality checks, environment aware configs.
AWS Data Stack - especially S3, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, Glue/Athena, IAM basics for secure pipeline operation.
Ingestion & Integration
Fivetran - managing connectors, sync strategies, and multi system ingestion.
Semi structured data - JSON, Parquet, gz; flattening, metadata driven ingestion.
Data Quality & Governance
Validation frameworks - source to target reconciliation, boundary checks, null audits, row level testing.
PII protection / access governance - experience with tools like Immuta, Atlan, or tokenization libraries (e.g., Protegrity).
Documentation discipline - data dictionaries, lineage, flow diagrams, runbooks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
