Hourly Rate: $70 - $80

  • 5+ years of dedicated Software Asset Management experience within a large enterprise environment. 
  • Direct experience implementing ServiceNow SAM Pro, including publisher packs, normalization, reconciliation, and software asset workflows. 

  • Experience supporting a SAM transformation, maturity program, or large-scale implementation initiative. 

  • Knowledge of ITIL, ITAM, CMDB, and software lifecycle management best practices. 

  • Experience with Power BI, ServiceNow Performance Analytics, or similar reporting platforms. 

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $70.00/Hr - USD $80.00/Hr.

The Software Asset Manager / Software Asset Management Analyst is responsible for supporting software asset management operations, analysis, governance, optimization, and stakeholder engagement across the organization. This role combines strategic software asset management expertise with hands-on analytical responsibilities to support software licensing compliance, optimization initiatives, contract management activities, and operational process maturity. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support day-to-day Software Asset Management operations, analysis, governance, and stakeholder coordination. 

  • Gather, organize, analyze, and maintain software entitlement, deployment, consumption, contract, spend, renewal, and inventory data. 

  • Perform software license position analysis and reconciliation activities for prioritized software publishers. 

  • Assist in translating software asset management recommendations into actionable work items, operational processes, and measurable outcomes. 

  • Identify software optimization opportunities, compliance risks, data quality issues, evidence gaps, and renewal actions. 

  • Support ServiceNow SAM Pro administration, optimization, data validation, and process improvement activities. 

  • Provide knowledge transfer and practical guidance to strengthen organizational SAM capabilities. 

Required Experience 

  • 3-7+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, Software Licensing, IT Operations, Procurement, or related disciplines. 

  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, administering, or operating ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro). 

  • Experience performing software license analysis, entitlement review, software inventory reconciliation, and compliance assessments. 

  • Experience analyzing software usage, deployments, entitlements, contracts, and renewal data. 

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills. 

Preferred Experience 

  • 5+ years of dedicated Software Asset Management experience within a large enterprise environment. 

  • Direct experience implementing ServiceNow SAM Pro, including publisher packs, normalization, reconciliation, and software asset workflows. 

  • Experience supporting a SAM transformation, maturity program, or large-scale implementation initiative. 

  • Knowledge of ITIL, ITAM, CMDB, and software lifecycle management best practices. 

  • Experience with Power BI, ServiceNow Performance Analytics, or similar reporting platforms. 

Preferred Certifications 

  • ServiceNow CIS-SAM 

  • ServiceNow CSA 

  • CSAM 

  • IAITAM Certifications 

  • ITIL Foundation 


The estimated pay range for this position is USD $70.00/Hr - USD $80.00/Hr.
