Summary

Company Description

We make AI safe, confidential, and compliant for companies. Verapath is an AI platform company based in Greenwich, CT, focused on managing the risks associated with artificial intelligence systems. As AI becomes increasingly foundational to business and society, organizations must proactively address security vulnerabilities, regulatory compliance, bias, and model risk.

Verapath delivers AI security, governance, risk, and compliance solutions for medium-to-large enterprises deploying advanced technology and AI-enabled systems at scale.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer / Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and technical direction of our AI compliance and security platform. This role combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, architecture, and mentoring.

This role requires deep experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and enterprise web application development. The ideal candidate will have strong backend and full-stack experience, with the ability to design scalable systems, build secure applications, lead technical decisions, and support other developers.

Experience with Razor Pages, ASP.NET Core MVC, or similar Microsoft front-end web technologies is highly preferred. Experience with Blazor is a plus, but not required. Experience with AI platforms, LLMs, or AI governance systems is also a plus, but not required.

This is a high-impact role for a senior technologist who enjoys building, mentoring, and shaping secure, scalable, and compliance-focused enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Own the end-to-end architecture of a secure, scalable compliance and security platform.
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade full-stack solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Define best practices for application security, compliance-by-design, software architecture, and maintainable development.
  • Lead architectural decisions across cloud, data, API, application, and integration layers.
  • Establish engineering standards for scalability, reliability, performance, and security.

Full-Stack Development

  • Develop and maintain high-performance web applications and backend services.
  • Build user-facing application features using Razor Pages, ASP.NET Core MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI patterns.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and service-based application components.
  • Use Entity Framework and SQL/NoSQL databases for reliable data access and persistence.
  • Write clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code across the application stack.
  • Participate in hands-on coding, code reviews, debugging, and technical problem solving.

Cloud, Security & Platform Engineering

  • Build and maintain cloud-native solutions across Azure and AWS.
  • Implement secure application patterns, including authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and auditability.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, deployment processes, and environment management.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to support governance and risk requirements.

AI & Advanced Technology Integration

  • Support integrations with AI or machine learning platforms where needed.
  • Experience with platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, or other LLM platforms is a plus.
  • Help design secure patterns for AI usage, prompt management, auditability, and policy enforcement when applicable.
  • Support AI risk controls such as logging, monitoring, explainability, and governance where relevant.
  • Work with leadership to evaluate emerging technologies and determine practical implementation strategies.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, setting technical direction and standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to secure coding and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Help grow the engineering team through mentorship, technical guidance, and process improvement.
  • Communicate architectural decisions and technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10–15 years of professional software development experience.
  • Deep expertise in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Strong full-stack development experience across backend, frontend, APIs, and data layers.
  • Hands-on experience building web applications using Razor Pages, ASP.NET Core MVC, or similar Microsoft web technologies.
  • Proficiency with Entity Framework, SQL databases, and data modeling.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system scalability, and maintainability.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, logging, and secure coding practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and setting technical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Blazor Server or Blazor WebAssembly.
  • Experience integrating AI, LLM, or machine learning platforms into production applications.
  • Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, Google Gemini, OpenAI, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI risk management, regulatory compliance, governance, or cybersecurity domains.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience in financial services, compliance, cybersecurity, governance, or other regulated industries.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or demonstrable technical leadership in prior roles.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunity to lead and shape a cutting-edge compliance and security platform.
  • Work with modern Microsoft technologies, enterprise cloud architectures, and emerging AI capabilities.
  • A collaborative, innovative environment with real-world impact on AI safety, security, and trust.
  • A senior role with meaningful influence over architecture, engineering standards, and platform direction.

Note

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The interview process may include technical assessments and multiple rounds of interviews.

We look forward to reviewing your application and welcoming a senior leader who is passionate about building secure, scalable, compliant, and responsible enterprise software.
