We are seeking a Process Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation focused on safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This position will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, supporting environmental, health, and safety initiatives, and driving Lean manufacturing efforts across the facility.

Job Details

Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, root cause investigations, and process optimization to improve productivity, quality, material utilization, and labor efficiency.
Support and promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
Serve as a technical owner for key manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve reliability, consistency, and performance.
Lead and support Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives to reduce waste and improve overall plant performance.
Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and R&D teams to evaluate manufacturing processes, optimize cycle times, and improve product quality.
Develop and maintain process documentation, operating standards, and process parameters to ensure consistent production.
Plan, execute, and evaluate process trials to validate improvements and implement sustainable solutions.
Support capital projects by ensuring equipment and facility installations meet engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with emergency response planning and process safety initiatives, including startup, shutdown, and operating procedures.
Ensure all required environmental, health, and safety reporting is completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate employee monitoring and industrial hygiene programs, including air sampling, hearing conservation, and other compliance activities.
Analyze manufacturing data and present recommendations that improve yield, reduce conversion costs, and increase operational efficiency.
Collaborate with plant leadership to establish and achieve operational goals and continuous improvement objectives.
Perform additional engineering and operational support duties as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field.
AT LEAST A GREEN BELT IS REQUIRED
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing process engineering experience.
Experience leading process improvements using data analysis and root cause problem solving.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, or other Operational Excellence methodologies preferred.
Experience with SAP or other manufacturing ERP systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, production processes, and continuous improvement principles.
Ability to interpret technical documents, operating procedures, maintenance manuals, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
