Description
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Springdale, Arkansas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and maintaining data systems that support operational decision-making and reporting. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to create effective database solutions and ensuring the integrity and performance of data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures for production and reporting databases.
Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various business systems.
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable and repeatable reporting solutions.
Diagnose and resolve data integrity issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Enhance database performance through tuning and indexing strategies.
Create and maintain documentation for data models, query logic, and reporting workflows.
Assist in data migration efforts during system transitions, including support for SAP S/4HANA integration.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support to users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility and usability.
Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries (T-SQL or PL/SQL preferred).
Proficiency with relational database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of data integration tools and concepts.
Familiarity with SAP or Solumina G8 data structures is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense environment is preferred.
Additional skills in Python, R, or PowerShell for automation and statistical analysis are a plus.
