Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Position Description:

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with deep hands-on AWS infrastructure and networking expertise to help design, deploy, and optimize enterprise-scale cloud environments. This role is ideal for a seasoned platform/infrastructure engineer who enjoys working directly with AWS services, advanced networking, automation, and CloudFormation to build secure, reliable, high-performance cloud platforms.

You will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and supporting critical AWS infrastructure initiatives, solve complex cloud challenges, and make a meaningful impact across large, modern environments. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience

5+ years of infrastructure-focused cloud engineering experience in enterprise environments

Extensive hands-on AWS experience: native services, OAuth, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS networking

Deep AWS networking expertise (PrivateLink, Security Groups, Route53, VPC, VPCe)

Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization (SCP, KMS, IAM policies & roles)

Proven experience designing, deploying, and automating CloudFormation Templates with CI/CD

Proficiency with Python & Shell scripting, EKS, Jenkins, Git (BitBucket), and Artifactory

Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence

Broad platform knowledge across databases, directory services, containers, Linux, network infrastructure, and cloud security fundamentals

Hands-on platform-level support for cloud-based applications

AWS Solutions Architect - Professional certification (required)

AWS Backup or AWS Bedrock experience is a plus

Excellent communication skills; self-driven, collaborative, and solutions-oriented
