Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Analyst / Power BI Developer to design and develop enterprise-level analytical reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Snowflake.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with advanced Power BI development, DAX, dimensional modeling, advanced SQL, Snowflake performance optimization, and the integration of Power BI with Snowflake. This role will work closely with data engineers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dataflows, semantic models, reports, and dashboards using dimensional modeling and star schema practices.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and analytical logic for enterprise-level reporting.
• Create intuitive, user-friendly, and high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries using CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and other advanced SQL techniques.
• Tune SQL and Snowflake datasets for efficient Power BI consumption.
• Collaborate with Snowflake data engineering teams to ensure fact and dimension tables are structured and optimized for reporting.
• Integrate Power BI with Snowflake using appropriate connection modes while ensuring performance, query folding, and data reliability.
• Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
• Manage Power BI workspaces and optimize report and dataset performance.
• Troubleshoot performance issues across DAX, SQL, Power BI, and Snowflake compute layers.
• Apply Snowflake performance tuning, clustering, compute optimization, and cost-control practices.
• Work with Snowflake RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and data governance concepts.
• Document metadata, data lineage, report specifications, and analytical assets to support governance and maintainability.
• Support embedding Power BI reports into web or internal applications.
• Translate business requirements into structured semantic models, analytical solutions, and actionable reports.
• Collaborate with data engineers, SMEs, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver enterprise-ready reporting solutions.
• Support CI/CD and version-control practices for Power BI solutions as applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience working with business intelligence tools and systems.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-level Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Advanced Power BI development experience, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, advanced report design, paginated reports, and performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema design, and fact/dimension modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, clustering keys, compute optimization, and cost control.
• Familiarity with Snowflake RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and data governance.
• Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake and working with different connection modes.
• Proficiency with Power BI Report Builder, workspace management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and technical documentation.
• Experience embedding Power BI reports into web or internal applications preferred.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting and data solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI CI/CD practices.
• Experience with version control for Power BI solutions.
• Experience working in enterprise data warehouse or analytics environments.
• Experience supporting data governance and reporting standards.
