Job Description

Value Technology is seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Finance (FI/CO) modules and proven experience in upgrading from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate will have participated in at least one full-cycle S/4 HANA upgrade project and possess extensive functional knowledge across S/4 HANA. This role requires strong collaboration with Controllership and Finance stakeholders, as well as technical teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of finance transformation initiatives.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP ECC to S/4 HANA upgrade projects, focusing on Finance (FI/CO) modules.
• Drive functional design, configuration, and testing for S/4 HANA Finance processes.
• Collaborate with Controllership and Finance teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure proper integration and solution delivery.
• Prepare functional specifications, oversee development, and perform unit and integration testing.
• Provide guidance on best practices for S/4 HANA Finance processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities during upgrade.
• Deliver training and documentation for end-users and stakeholders.
• Participate in cutover planning and go-live support.

Required Qualifications

• Deep SAP S/4 HANA FI/CO functional knowledge and S/4 HANA upgrade experience
• Experience with at least one full cycle ECC to S4 Hana upgrade project
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and product owners
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
• Ability to direct and train other team associates
• Exceptional documentational skills with standard tools for data flows, like Visio, PowerPoint, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree or other relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Project Systems and Group Reporting
• Experience with P2P application integration – Ariba and Concur
• Comfort in working with business and technical partners alike, this role bridges that gap
• Preferred experience in a banking/finance context with knowledge of financial accounting concepts
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
