Summary
Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: US Remote
Our client is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to build and support backend solutions for their healthcare platform. You will work on integration, backend development, and data processing, helping customers connect with the product suite. This is a hands-on coding + design role with exposure across the full software development lifecycle.
Duties:
- Develop and enhance backend services using Java/J2EE
- Participate in design discussions, architecture, and code reviews
- Break down and lead technical tasks within an agile team
- Handle bug fixes, configuration migrations, and UAT/Prod readiness
- Perform data loads for UAT and Production
- Support UAT issue troubleshooting and triage
- Work directly with customers to design integration solutions
- Follow security and compliance standards (PHI/PII)
Required:
- BS/BA in CS or related field.
- Excellent analysis, consulting and communication skills.
- 6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development
- Strong experience with SOA / system integration
- Hands-on with WebLogic, Linux, and SQL
- Experience with Web Services (SOAP, WSDL), XML, JMS
- Integration tools: Spring, Apache Camel, iWay, OSGi (Karaf)
- Familiar with design patterns and enterprise integration patterns
- Tools: Bitbucket, JUnit, Jenkins
- Agile experience (Scrum / Kanban)
- Healthcare payer domain experience is a plus
- Previous experience with in customer-facing roles on professional services engagements
