Job Description:
• We need to bring in additional capacity for data modeling and architecture, as I’m facing challenges supporting our data modeling initiatives for CapEx projects while we establish the medallion architecture landscape.
• Demand continues to increase from major and long-term programs such as Resilience Analytics, and other initiatives including AOA, PIMS, X1FBO, and SmartSuite (Skylink).
Required Skills:
• Thorough understanding of Data Warehousing architecture, techniques, and Data Modelling methodologies; including Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions, and Aggregation Techniques.
• Experience with the use, deployment and ongoing maintenance of an Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence Architecture model(s) using commercial modeling products strongly desired, such as Tableau, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud, Power BI and Dataiku.
• Significant experience in architecture services, delivering applications and /or Data Warehousing solutions and data analytics projects to a production environment using Scrum or Agile Methodology and cloud technology.
• Creates, maintains, and supports MicroStrategy/Tableau Projects, Enterprise Data Warehouses, and SQL Scripts, ETL routines to support Enterprise Business Intelligence projects.
• Participate in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business, operational and data problems and initiatives as a Business Intelligence and Analytics subject matter specialist.
• Assists with the creation of documentation of functional requirements for business systems applications, including the budget development, planning, and monitoring processes.
• Analyzes, develops, and evaluates data in a data lake and data warehouse environment including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
• Analyzes and interprets statistical data to identify patterns in relationships among sources of information. Identifies trends in data and factors that affect research results.
• Prepares, models, and structures data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes as analytical infrastructure for business users and data catalogs.
• Works with System Administrators, Database Administrators, Business Analyst, and Quality Assurance to test and tune development efforts.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, Oracle Functions, partitioning
• Experience with data modeling, creating logical and physical data models for data marts, data lakes and data warehouses.
