Spotlight on CBP Engineering Teams:

Title Launch Management (TLM)
TLM builds and innovates the technology foundations of the title experience that allows us to understand, organize, and launch titles globally at scale. We are the bridge between the title creation lifecycle and the consumer experience. Titles refer to any type of entertainment we launch on Netflix including series & movies, games, ads, live events, trailers, promotional videos, and more.

Catalog Foundation & Distribution (CFD)

Members of the Catalog Foundations & Distribution (CFD) team play a pivotal role in delivering new and emerging content to millions of members worldwide! We build the engine behind the Netflix catalog, ensuring that every title and piece of metadata reaches consumer-scale systems cohesively, quickly, and safely. Our work is crucial for enabling engaging canvases, personalized recommendations, and seamless discovery experiences that bring "moments of joy" to our subscribers. As Netflix ventures into exciting new content domains like Live, Games, and Sports, the CFD team is at the forefront, building the critical foundations that accelerate these emerging business initiatives. You'll contribute to improving the speed and stability of our existing metadata systems, ensuring a lean footprint and fast data propagation, while also enhancing our safety features to protect against critical risks. This is an incredible opportunity to work on high-impact areas, driving business velocity and collaborating with partners across Netflix to deliver frequent wins for our stakeholders. If you're passionate about building robust, scalable systems that directly power the Netflix experience, we'd love to have you!

Source Acquisition Platform (SAP)

The Source Acquisition Platform team is responsible for the applications and services touching the acquisition, management, and evaluation of assets such as video, music and effects, subtitles, dubs, and everything used to create shows and movies available on Netflix. Our suite of services is the bedrock for applications used both internally, by Netflix creative employees, and externally by our content and fulfillment partners, creative agencies, and freelancers, curating the best and largest on-demand catalog in the world. Acquisition and Evaluation of audiovisual assets is critical for our success and to provide first-class experience to Netflix members. To achieve that, we work closely with teams in data science, encoding, catalog, and content distribution to ingest, encode, store, manage, and deploy media worldwide.

Workstations Platform

The Workstations Platform team, part of the Studio Production Platforms portfolio, is responsible for delivering a scalable workstations platform. Our virtual workstations are available from both AWS and regional data centers, supporting various use cases such as Visual Effects, Animation, Editorial, and Dailies. The team is focused on an ambitious roadmap to develop a more flexible and cost-effective platform for multiple use cases.

Production Systems Engineering (PSE)
The Production Systems Engineering team is responsible for designing and delivering scalable technical solutions in support of Netflix's content creation businesses. We excel at delivering thoughtfully designed solutions and take pride in our ability to partner with our cross-functional engineering teams to provide the best possible outcome for our stakeholders. Though technical in nature, these solutions empower our creative businesses and bring value to millions of subscribers worldwide.

Vendor & Talent Foundations Engineering

Netflix is continuing to invest heavily to produce content this year. A production's ability to successfully meet its schedule and budget targets depend in large part on the talent (actors, directors, writers, cast & crew, etc.), vendors hired and the quality of service provided. My team builds the platform, software and tools to enable Netflix Studio to discover, hire, onboard, and manage the best vendors and world-class talent to work on our productions. The tools also help with planning and resourcing workflows that result in the production and delivery of the highest quality content at scale.
