Summary

T&M Associates is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled CAD/BIM Specialist to join our Design Technology Team in our Columbus, OH office. This position will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and advancement of CAD and BIM technologies across multiple engineering and design disciplines, with a particular focus on helping expand and mature the firm's BIM capabilities. The role requires a combination of office-based technical support, standards development, user training, and collaboration with project teams to improve digital design workflows.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, develop, and maintain 2D and 3D design documentation, BIM models, and construction deliverables using Autodesk software platforms, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit, throughout the planning, design, construction, and project delivery phases.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, engineers, architects, and design staff to ensure models and drawings are accurate, coordinated, compliant with project requirements, and delivered on schedule.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company, client, and project-specific CAD/BIM standards, workflows, templates, model governance practices, and best practices while supporting technology initiatives that advance digital design and BIM adoption across the organization.
  • Maintain the quality, consistency, and organization of digital project files, BIM models, Revit families, templates, content libraries, shared parameters, and project deliverables.
  • Perform model quality control reviews, clash detection support, and drawing/model audits to ensure compliance with established standards and project requirements.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, training, user documentation, and technical guidance for CAD/BIM software, workflows, and project-related modeling activities.
  • Engage in problem-solving, analytical thinking, visualization, and coordination activities to develop accurate and efficient engineering and design solutions.

  • May include field support, data collection, and coordination activities when required.

  • Help advance T&M's BIM program by supporting BIM standards, model governance, content management, workflow adoption, and coordination practices across disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of CAD and/or BIM experience within the engineering, architecture, or consulting industry required.
  • Experience supporting BIM implementation, adoption, and process improvement across multidisciplinary project teams, including BIM workflows, standards development, model coordination, BIM execution plans, QA/QC procedures, clash detection, and collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar environments, is preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D required.
  • Experience creating and modifying Revit families, templates, view templates, schedules, content libraries, and shared parameters preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, project teams, staff, and senior management, build strong professional relationships, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to accurately interpret design documents, engineering markups, project requirements, and other technical information.

T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $80,000-$103,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
