Job Title: Senior Director, Applied AI & Digital Transformation (Industrial)
Overview
We are partnering with a diversified industrial organization to identify a hands-on AI leader to drive the practical application of artificial intelligence across enterprise operations.
This is not a research or innovation lab role. This position focuses on translating AI capabilities into real-world operational impact across manufacturing, commercial, and corporate environments.
The Senior Director will work cross-functionally to identify high-value AI opportunities, implement scalable enterprise solutions, and deliver measurable productivity, efficiency, and decision intelligence outcomes.
This is a direct hire opportunity. Travel will be required to support AI implementation across operating environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize AI use cases that deliver measurable operational and financial impact
- Partner with business, operations, IT, and commercial leaders to translate opportunities into deployable AI solutions
- Lead the design, deployment, and scaling of AI-driven automation, analytics, and decision-support initiatives
- Support integration of AI tools and platforms with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, PLM, and other operational technologies
- Drive enterprise adoption, change management, and execution across multiple business units and sites
- Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and production-ready
- Lead initiatives focused on productivity improvement, automation, and intelligent decision-making
- Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks to track AI business impact
- Influence digital transformation strategy and roadmap across industrial operations
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- 12+ years of experience in AI, data analytics, digital transformation, or advanced technology leadership
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles (Director, Senior Director, VP, or equivalent)
- Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale AI initiatives with measurable business outcomes
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, or operational environments
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems integration (ERP, CRM, PLM, MES, etc.)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders
- Willingness to travel to support implementation and stakeholder engagement
Preferred:
- Experience leading AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, and decision intelligence programs
- Exposure to cloud platforms, data platforms, and enterprise integration architectures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership
- Experience operating in multi-site or global industrial environments
