Summary
Position: Weld Inspector
Job Description: -
The role will focus on welding and fabrication supplier quality, including reviewing WPS/PQR/WPQ documentation, engineering drawings, material records and NDT reports, as well as conducting supplier audits and on-site inspections.
Key requirements:
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- 5+ years’ experience with WPS, PQR and WPQ documentation
- Strong knowledge of AWS/ASME welding codes
- Experience with FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
- Knowledge of NDT methods including UT, RT, MT, PT and VT
- Experience in welding inspection, fabrication and supplier quality.
The position is 40 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and is expected to run for at least 18 months.
There will also be approximately 30% travel, typically involving 2–3 day inspection trips to supplier sites across Utah, Michigan and Colorado.
