Linux Systems Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator in Tampa, FL.

Summary:
Join a fast-paced enterprise IT team responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and availability of critical infrastructure supporting 24/7 operations. This role focuses on systems administration, cloud technologies, identity management, virtualization, security, and enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, IAM solutions, and Microsoft 365
* Support Azure and AWS cloud environments
* Manage virtualization platforms, email systems, endpoint management (MDM), SIEM, antivirus, and backup/recovery solutions
* Perform system installations, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening
* Monitor infrastructure, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support compliance initiatives
* Create scripts, Group Policies (GPOs), and automation solutions
* Maintain technical documentation, asset inventories, and operational procedures
* Participate in project work, root cause analysis, and an on-call rotation

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-7+ years of enterprise systems administration experience (depending on education level)
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
* Experience with backup/disaster recovery, storage technologies, enterprise monitoring, and basic networking
* Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support security and compliance requirements

Preferred Skills:
* Scripting and automation experience
* Experience with enterprise email, endpoint management, and security tools
* Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Additional Information:
* Hybrid/on-site environment
* Participation in an on-call rotation required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
