Location: Durham, NC (Remote)

ETL Lead – Ab Initio:

  • The ETL Lead (Ab Initio) will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex data integration and transformation solutions.
  • This role provides technical leadership for Ab Initio development teams, ensuring high-performance, scalable ETL processes within enterprise data warehouses and big data environments.
  • The candidate will drive best practices, perform code reviews, mentor junior staff, and act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, typically in an Agile or Waterfall setting.

Job Duties:

  • Interact with business and IT users within client to resolve the issues and to understand the business requirements and data specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution of incidents, load job failures/Abends within Enterprise Data Warehouse/EDW batch schedules for various applications.
  • Perform Application lead activities for ETL Extracts, Claims and Accounting.
  • Reviewing technical specifications on the ETL code during touchpoint meetings, ensuring all set standards and guidelines are followed diligently.
  • Analyze Control -M schedules for EDW batch schedule.
  • Execute the change control and promotions tasks in EDW.
  • Support production move following Release and Change Management processes.
  • Provide development effort estimates for enhancements.
  • Data Analysis for understanding user requirements and finalizing optimal solutions to deliver Claims and Accounting data to users.
  • Providing the solution for migration of client members from old legacy system to new platform.
  • Provides project-specific Data Integration Analyst coordination to serve as the single point of contact and eliminate redundancy.
  • Handling Bug fixes and enhancement projects which involve modifications in the existing ETL graphs to incorporate the new changes as per the business requirements and to fix production issues.
  • Suggest new techniques to improve the performance of Ab-Initio graphs by using various Ab-Initio performance techniques.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Quality procedures related to the project.
  • Accountable for Data Integration Analyst related deliverables and responsible for the deliverable’s quality.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and failures.
  • Prepare production and UAT implementation plans for applications. Create production deployment notes and run books for new applications.
  • Interact with Business Analysts from client Information Delivery team to understand the business requirements and data specifications.
  • Take transition of new applications or subject areas from Development teams.
  • Support Development teams during Warranty Issues.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and a motivated team player with good communication and inter-personal skills.

 

Required skills/qualifications:

  • 5 – 7 years’ total experience
  • 5 years’ experience with Ab Initio
  • 5 years’ experience with ETL Development and Architecture
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with Control M
  • 5 years’ experience with Data Warehousing
  • 5 years’ experience with SQL and Data Analysis
  • 3 years of experience with Release/Change Management
  • 3 years of experience with Technical Documentation
