RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking an Application Support Engineer to support production-critical factory software systems. This role sits at the intersection of software, operations, and manufacturing, ensuring MES and ERP applications remain reliable and production downtime is minimized. The Application Support will handle real-time incidents, coordinate across teams, and improve systems through documentation and root cause analysis.
Duties:
* Own end-to-end integration and support of MES and ERP systems at the production site
* Triage issues from manufacturing and ensure timely resolution or escalation
* Implement temporary workarounds to keep production running while permanent fixes are developed
* Act as incident commander for production-critical issues, coordinating cross-functional teams
* Perform root cause analysis using logs and data; recommend corrective and preventative actions
* Create troubleshooting guides and train users to improve self-service support
* Manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
* 2+ years of application or production support experience
* 2+ years of working knowledge of SQL
* 1+ years of experience with Python, Go, or another programming language
* Experience with MES, WMS, or ERP systems
* Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus
* Strong understanding of integrated systems and their dependencies
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or after-hours as needed
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
