Job Title: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer (Infrastructure / End-User Support)

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid 2 Days in a week)

Duration: Long Term Contract

We are looking for a skilled Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer with strong infrastructure expertise and hands-on experience in end-user support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing AVD environments, supporting enterprise users, and ensuring a secure, high-performing virtual desktop infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
  • Administer session hosts, host pools, application groups, and user profiles (FSLogix).
  • Monitor performance, availability, and capacity planning of AVD infrastructure.
  • Provide L2/L3 end-user support for virtual desktop-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot login, profile, connectivity, latency, and application performance issues.
  • Manage Windows Server and Windows 10/11 multi-session environments.
  • Implement security best practices including conditional access and MFA.
  • Perform patch management and system updates.
  • Collaborate with networking, security, and cloud teams for issue resolution.
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure / End-User Computing support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and Entra ID.
  • Knowledge of FSLogix profile management.
  • Experience with Windows Server and desktop OS administration.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls).
  • Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Experience with Intune / Endpoint Manager.
  • Knowledge of Citrix or VMware Horizon (nice to have).
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale virtual desktop environments.
