Our client, a leader in automotive innovation, is seeking a Firmware Validation Engineer - Brake & Steering to join their team. As a Firmware Validation Engineer - Brake & Steering, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the chassis actuator engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$86/hour + Benefits
What\'s the Job?
\t- Lead the development and validation of control firmware for brake and steering systems in collaboration with tier-one partners. \t
- Manage system specifications, conduct failure mode and effects analysis, and develop validation plans to ensure system reliability and safety. \t
- Oversee firmware release schedules, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain detailed project development timelines. \t
- Create diagnostic scripts and tools to support firmware validation and troubleshooting processes. \t
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Zoox to leverage expertise in AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision, and Robotics for continuous innovation.
What\'s Needed?
\t- BS or MS in engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience in the automotive or similar industry. \t
- Proven track record in debugging complex hardware, software, and firmware issues. \t
- Experience with automotive actuator controls and validation methods. \t
- Knowledge of automotive program development, release processes, and long-term schedule planning. \t
- Experience with test methodologies and developing HIL test assets; familiarity with tools like CANalyzer, dSPACE, Polarion, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
