We are currently looking for a Model Based Systems Engineering Intern to join our team in Dayton, OH

Responsibilities:

As a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Intern at MTSI's Dayton Office, you will contribute to projects focused on modeling mission architectures and developing analytical tools to assess the effectiveness of systems and capabilities. Your work will play a critical role in advancing mission engineering methodologies and enabling our customers to make informed decisions that directly impact mission success.

This role involves supporting a range of technical tasks, including the design, development, and testing of software solutions that enhance MBSE processes. Key activities include enabling seamless data import/export across toolsets, creating template models, and generating mission engineering artifacts. These tools and artifacts will provide foundational support for future analytical tasks and system development efforts.

You will also gain experience with Cameo Systems Modeler, learning core concepts of System Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) and their applications to architecture and mission engineering. MTSI's MBSE methodologies have been integrated into mission engineering workflows used across multiple U.S. government programs, providing unparalleled exposure to impactful programs and cutting-edge techniques.

Throughout the internship, you will collaborate with experienced engineers while applying systems engineering techniques and developing software capabilities to support analysis efforts and decision-making processes.

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
Basic proficiency in at least one programming language like Python, Java, MATLAB, or C++
A demonstrated interest in systems engineering, mission engineering, or a related field
Self-motivated and able to work independently with help from experienced team members
Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members, documenting work, and presenting findings
A strong desire to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements is highly valued.
GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale

Desired Skills
Experience with MBSE tools such as Magic Draw or Cameo Systems Modeler
Familiarity with other engineering tools like MATLAB and Simulink or data visualization tools such as PowerBI
