Structural Engineering Professional Associate

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate - Onsite for a contract position with a Global Professional Services Firm located in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 7+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves the engineering design of industrial building structural systems, with a focus on steel and concrete structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex calculations using tools like STAAD Pro and assisting in the creation of contract drawings. This is an opportunity to work on a variety of projects within a dynamic engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain effective communications with department members, higher management, and with clients
• Perform calculations of structural systems, (hand calculations, computer aided calculations (spreadsheets and mathcad), and 3D modeling analysis (Staad)
• Assist in creation of contract drawings via providing drawing input to structural designer

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters of Science in Civil/Structuring Engineering
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in engineering design of building structural systems
• Must have demonstrated experience in the structural design for steel and concrete structures on a variety of projects
• Must have advanced working proficiency in STAAD Pro
• Must have working knowledge of Revit
• Must have a solid working knowledge of building codes and other applicable structural codes
• Should have and display strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Industrial experience

Pay range: up to $70.00 per hour
