Education/training: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Experience and familiarity with Curry Fluid Power products, production and inspection processes , machining and weld activities or closely related experience. Experience and familiarity with hydraulic cylinders, machining, energy, automotive, or fabrication environments .
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints, tolerances, and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer software and utilizing QMS systems. Ability to utilize measuring and test equipment.
Working Conditions : Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less; exposure to loud environment.
General Responsibilities
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for executing various inspection and quality control duties. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality of all manufactured products, parts and full assemblies across all product lines and the entire manufacturing process. These duties will include but are not limited to dimension validation, and documenting and reporting
observations/conformance results.
Essential Duties
- Performs first article, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured and/or assembled products.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings/ blueprints, GD&T symbols, tolerances, and specifications.
- Uses precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, thread gauges, surface finish gauges) to verify product conformity.
- Inspects critical dimensions, cosmetic requirements, weld quality, coatings, assemblies, and mechanical fit-ups.
- Completes and documents inspection reports, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and deviation/waiver requests.
- Performs incoming material inspections to validate material type, dimensions, certifications, and condition.
- Conducts root cause/verifications and containment activities when defects are identified.
- Works collaboratively with production, engineering, quality and management teams to resolve product issues.
- Ensures traceability and proper documentation control throughout the inspection process.
- Maintains clean, safe, and calibrated inspection equipment and reporting tool discrepancies.
- Provides feedback to technicians/operators to prevent process drift and maintains compliance with specifications.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
- Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
Weekend Shift Friday 5 AM - 12 3 hour shifts - paid for 40 hours
Compensation details: 21-23 Yearly Salary
