Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery
Location: Irving TX Hybrid 3 days office every week
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in ETL development, Informatica, SQL, and cloud migration. The ideal candidate will drive the migration of existing ETL pipelines to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), leveraging BigQuery and Airflow for orchestration. Experience in automation and optimization of migration processes is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflowsusing Informatica and migrate them to Google Cloud Platform BigQuery.
- Build and optimize data pipelinesto support analytics and reporting needs.
- Implement workflow orchestrationusing Apache Airflow.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Automate migration processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of ETL pipelines and cloud data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica).
- Proficiency in SQLand BigQuery.
- Experience with Apache Airflowfor scheduling and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of cloud migration(preferably to Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of automation frameworksfor migration and pipeline optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data warehouse modernization projects.
- Familiarity with Pythonor other scripting languages for automation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelinesfor data engineering workflows.
- Prior experience in large-scale enterprise data migration.
