JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Flight Dynamics (FD) Test Engineer to work hybrid from their Pittsburgh, PA facility or Remote from the USA. As a Flight Dynamics (FD) Test Engineer, you'll be part of a cross functional team supporting our nation's missile defense initiatives.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experience: - Responsible for common ground enterprise (CGE) integration of Flight Dynamics (FD)
- COTS tool experience with a.i. Solutions Free Flyer/Meridian or similar product
- Experience with CCSDS (interoperability) orbital messages including Orbit Parameter Message (OPM), Orbit Ephemeris Message (OEM), and Orbit Mean-Elements Message (OMM)
- Experience integrating a.i. Solutions delivered pipelines for Orbit Monitoring (OM) and Orbit Determination (OD)
- MBSE experience and flow to integration and test (I&T) for verification and validation
- System Level test experience including integration, verification and validation (V&V) of Ground Resource Management (GRM), Network Management (NM), C2, Flight Dynamics (FD), Planning & Scheduling (P&S), Mission Planning (MP), and Fire Control Element (FCE)
- System test procedure creation, integration, requirement verification and system level validation
- Experience with test script automation including C2 capabilities
- Experience with STTC (S-band) RF
- Test engineer that understands the importance of Test and System Engineering ownership "cradle to grave " on a fast paced system design program
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
What sets you apart: - Preferred integration experience with Space-Ground and Ground-Antenna for Common Ground Enterprise COTS-based C2 System
- Preferred space command operational experience
- Preferred COTS experience with a.i.Solutions Free Flyer/Meridian, Python, InfluxDB, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, microservice architecture, cloud (AWS, RHOSP), Security
- Preferred lab or operational COTS integration experience working side by side with the system engineering team
- Preferred knowledge of antenna build-out, operation, and interfaces with knowledge and ground entry point (GEP) as a service
