Desktop Support

Introduction:

This Desktop Support position provides expert level technical assistance in preparation and support of end-user hardware and applications. The candidate will work on a team to provide desktop support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operation of desktop technology.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert level technical support for end-user hardware and applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop technology issues including Windows desktop operation systems, desktop applications, Multi-Function Devices, and mobile devices such as Android, iPhones, and iPads
• Receive escalated support issues from an internal Service Desk and provide timely resolution
• Independently perform a variety of desktop related tasks and serve as a desktop support expert
• Be available for on call/stand by hours and work more than 40 hours per week as needed

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Extensive knowledge and experience with desktop technology
• Experience with Windows desktop operation systems and desktop applications
• Familiarity with Multi-Function Devices (print/fax/copier/scanner) and mobile devices such as Android, iPhones, and iPads
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Experience working in a Desktop Support position

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with service desk operations
• Ability to work independently and make judgment calls
• Creative thinking and self-direction in resolving end user issues
