Location: Wayne, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This position is for a hands-on Senior Intune Engineer focused on enhancing the reliability, governance, and operational maturity of an enterprise Microsoft Intune environment. The role involves an approximate 80% hands-on engineering and 20% architecture/technical leadership mix. The engineer will stabilize and operationalize the current Intune environment, act as the senior technical leader for Intune within the operational team, and support approximately 30,000 endpoint devices, including physical laptops and Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD).
Key Responsibilities
- Stabilize and operationalize the current Intune environment and act as the senior technical leader for the operational team.
- Design and execute controlled deployment strategies such as rings, waves, and progressive rollouts for Windows 11 devices.
- Configure and support Intune policies, application deployments, and device configuration and compliance settings.
- Provide technical leadership during endpoint-related incidents, including hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Enhance visibility into deployment health and success/failure outcomes, delivering clear reporting on status, impact, and risk.
- Partner with engineering teams to design and implement modern patching approaches, supporting a transition toward an Intune-first, automated model.
- Define and promote repeatable, auditable engineering practices to improve consistency and ensure documentation is complete and actionable.
- Participate in long-term initiatives to transition toward an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipeline model for Intune.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5-8+ years of experience in endpoint management within enterprise environments, including experience supporting large-scale environments of over 10,000 endpoints.
Technical Skills: Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Intune (policy, application deployment, troubleshooting, reporting) and Windows 10/11 lifecycle management. Experience implementing controlled rollout strategies like deployment rings and waves is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with third-party patching tools such as Patch My PC or Tanium Patch.
- Experience with endpoint telemetry platforms like SysTrack.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and problem management integration.
- Supporting knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Experience working within hybrid onshore/offshore delivery models.
