We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the modernization of a mission-critical Java Enterprise application through an incremental migration approach. The role will define the target architecture, provide technical leadership, and ensure the successful transition from a legacy Java platform to a modern architecture while preserving existing business functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Define and govern the application modernization architecture.
Lead the migration from Java EE/EJB to Spring Boot and REST APIs.
Define the React architecture for replacing legacy PrimeFaces/JSF screens.
Design and oversee API Gateway implementation and enterprise integrations.
Ensure solution quality, scalability, security, and performance.
Support deployment strategies across On-Prem, AWS, and OpenShift environments.
Conduct architecture reviews, mentor development teams, and establish technical standards.
Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Developers, QA, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Java Enterprise applications and application modernization.
Java 8/21, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Data JPA, REST APIs.
React JS and modern front-end architecture.
Oracle Database and SQL.
Experience with WebLogic and Apache Tomcat.
Enterprise integration experience, including API Gateway.
Knowledge of enterprise authentication (F5 APM, OpenID/OAuth, LDAP).
Experience defining NFRs, architecture documentation, code reviews, and technical governance.
Strong hands on skills in React.js and SPA architecture
Hands on experience with designing and architecting Microservices solutions
Strong experience with Oracle and Postgress DB
hands on experience with building apps on Claude Code and IBM BOB
Experience building high performance apps
