Backend Engineer (Node JS & GenAI) - Bay Area

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Node.js Engineer with strong expertise in building and integrating AI-powered agents, workflows, and GenAI applications. The role involves developing and automating REST-based backend services and providing end-to-end operational support for backend tools in a large, fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and integrate GenAI-powered agents and workflows using modern frameworks and APIs

• Design, develop, and automate scalable REST APIs using Node.js

• Provide backend E2E operational and production support

• Collaborate effectively across large backend teams (60+ engineers)

• Ensure high-quality, reliable, and well-documented backend solutions

Requirements:

• 7+ years of strong hands-on experience with Node.js

• Extensive experience in REST API development and automation

• Experience with GenAI frameworks and AI APIs

• Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills

• Highly motivated, dedicated, and able to work in high-impact environments
