Level 2 Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Saint Augustine, FL that is seeking a Level 2 Systems Engineer to support core infrastructure and server operations in a Windows-based environment. This role will focus on maintaining, supporting, and improving systems across on-prem and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with server administration, virtualization, and identity management.

Duties:
* Provide Level 2 support for server and infrastructure environments
* Administer and support VMware and vSphere environments
* Manage backup and recovery processes using Veeam
* Support and maintain Microsoft Azure and Entra ID environments
* Administer Active Directory, including user, group, and policy management
* Perform server administration tasks such as patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve issues and support ongoing initiatives
* Document procedures, configurations, and changes as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
