Cloud Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AWS components for application and batch processing using services such as EC2, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
• Develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and PowerShell to streamline operational processes.
• Build, configure, and support multiple application environments in AWS and on-premise Windows servers.
• Develop support tools to enable self-service capabilities for feature teams.
• Set up and configure CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket and GitHub Actions.
• Ensure deployments adhere to established security and compliance standards.
• Drive performance enhancements for application and batch processing workloads.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to deployments, batch processing, and access permissions.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues to maintain system reliability.
• Create dashboards using monitoring tools to track system health and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with feature teams, database administrators, and support engineers to validate deployments and resolve defects.
• Document deployment procedures, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.
• Provide regular status updates and communicate potential risks to stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in AWS services including Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, and ECS Fargate.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and GitHub, as well as Infrastructure as Code concepts using Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with Python for AWS development.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
