Job Description:

  • Lead DevOps Engineer
  • Client is seeking a hands on Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud native platforms that enable secure and efficient application delivery.
  • This role focuses on Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms, GitOps driven CI/CD workflows, and automation across OCP, Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate about developer enablement, infrastructure as code, and building resilient, self service platforms using modern automation and cloud technologies.
What client is expecting:
  • Hands-on DevOps and platform engineering expert driving DevOps transformation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitOps based delivery models.
  • Designed and enabled end to end DevOps workflows, integrating infrastructure automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitOps / GitHub Actions) to support microservices deployment at scale.
  • Automated microservices deployments across Kubernetes and OCP environments, achieving 100% deployment automation using Harness, reducing manual errors, and significantly improving release speed and reliability.
  • Implemented GitOps workflows using declarative configurations and JSON/YAML based pipelines, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and auditability across environments.
  • Enabled cloud native platform delivery across Azure and Google Cloud Platform, aligning infrastructure, application deployment, and security controls through code.
  • Embedded DevSecOps practices, observability, and pipeline instrumentation to improve visibility into pipeline performance, failures, and operational trends, accelerating troubleshooting and reducing MTTR.
  • Developed automation and tooling using Python, integrating with CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows.
  • Established centralized version tracking and release visibility, improving governance, traceability, and consistency across global data centers and cloud platforms.
  • Strong collaborator focused on developer enablement, self service platforms, and continuous delivery excellence through pragmatic, production grade engineering.
In this contingent resource assignment, candidate may:
  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Interview process:

Supplier Expectations:
  • All resumes must be submitted in beeline or will not be reviewed
  • No soliciting of resumes, nor communication should occur with the Reports to Manager while position is live.
Intake:
  • This team handles Devsec OPS automation for full COO technology portfolio.
  • These positions will help with one or two apps of the 18 in the portfolio.
  • Will start with the OTA Agile to Automation app, preferably CICD, deployments orchestrations, and quality gates.
  • Should have right approach. Challenge has been a lot of tooling is available, but learning those used by client is required.
  • Top technologies that this person will be working with include Gitops and Gitactions, Harness (for deployments), Maven (Java builds), Gradle (Java builds), Python builds.
  • New position on the team due to increased workload.
  • Hoping that the hire will be able to sync with the local team's schedules for 2 of their in-office days per week.
Top Skills:
  • 5 plus years' experience
  • GitHub Actions
  • Java builds experience (preferably Maven/Gradle)
  • Deployment tool experience (preferably Harness)
  • Python builds/CICD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Deployment)
  • Kubernetes/OCP
  • Should have worked in a large scale regulated industry and exposed to Devops in those orgs.
  • Need to be aware of governance controls, audits, etc.

  • Bachelor's in Engineering/Compsci

Pay Range: $XXX - $XXX
