Job Title: Kafka Developer

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Contract

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Kafka Developer to join our team on a remote contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures, with experience developing scalable real-time data streaming solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based streaming applications.
Build producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams applications.
Develop real-time data integration solutions using Kafka.
Monitor and optimize Kafka cluster performance.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability.
Collaborate with application development and DevOps teams.

Required Qualifications:

Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
Experience with Java or Scala-based application development.
Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
Experience with messaging platforms and real-time data processing.
Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud environments.
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or Confluent Platform.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
