Job Description: SAP BTP Full Stack Developer

Location: Greensboro, NC (preferred) ,  Raleigh / Charlotte can be considered. (No remote , No Travel )

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BTP Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have strong experience across backend services, SAP UI technologies, integrations, and cloud-native DevOps practices, leveraging modern frameworks such as CAP, RAP, and SAPUI5.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop cloud-native applications using SAP CAP (Java/Node.js)
Develop responsive and user-friendly UI applications using SAPUI5 (Freestyle) and Fiori Elements
Configure and deploy applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry) using MTA, CF CLI, and App Router
Build and manage data models using CDS and persistence in SAP HANA Cloud (HDI containers, SQL)
Implement integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and Event Mesh
Enable business process automation with SAP Build Process Automation (BPA)
Configure experience layer using SAP Build Work Zone
Implement authentication and authorization using XSUAA, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and modern DevOps practices
Ensure code quality with automated testing and best engineering practices
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and scalability
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
7+ years in SAP Portal, Process Integration, Process Orchestration, 3+ years of experience in SAP BTP
Hands-on experience with:
CAP (Java or Node.js)
OData v4 and REST API development
SAP HANA Cloud (data modeling, SQL, HDI containers)
SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry environment)
Experience building UI applications using:
SAPUI5 (Freestyle) and Fiori Elements
Basic understanding of:
Integration via SAP CPI or APIs
Authentication/authorization concepts (OAuth, JWT)
Experience with source control systems such as Gitlab
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
 

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in SAP and cloud-native development
Strong expertise in:
CAP (Java + Node.js) and advanced CDS modeling
ABAP RAP framework
Deep knowledge of:
SAP Integration Suite (CPI), Event Mesh
SAP Build Work Zone and SAP BPA
Experience with:
Multi-target application (MTA) deployments
Destination services, Cloud Connector configuration
App Router and secure API exposure
Advanced understanding of:
Security architecture (XSUAA, OAuth2/OIDC flows, JWT handling)
Experience implementing:
Event-driven architecture
Microservices on SAP BTP
Strong DevOps background:
CI/CD pipeline design and automation
Test automation frameworks
Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
SAP certifications in BTP, CAP, or UI5 (nice to have)
Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience in integrating SAP and non-SAP systems
Knowledge of performance tuning in SAP HANA Cloud
Experience with enterprise-scale cloud architecture
