Senior Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Data Engineer in Coppell, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Act as a technical expert in data integration and engineering tools
* Partner with business analysts to ensure designs meet requirements
* Collaborate with technical teams to align on development processes and standards
* Design and build data pipelines using Talend and Python
* Optimize databases and pipelines to improve performance and reduce issues
* Research and evaluate solutions aligned with technology standards
* Work with AWS cloud technologies
* Contribute to component design, development, and testing
* Support Agile processes including scrums, planning, and retrospectives
* Provide development, testing, troubleshooting, and production support
* Manage CI/CD deployments using Jenkins
* Resolve defects and support UAT collaboration
* Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years in data management with expertise in data warehousing and enterprise data platforms
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance optimization
* Strong AWS experience designing scalable, secure, cost-efficient data solutions
* Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development for data integration and transformation
* Able to build real-time and batch pipelines using Snowflake tools including Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe
* Experience designing and operating AI capabilities within Snowflake Data Cloud
* Strong data modeling skills across logical and physical models for analytics and reporting
* Experience with dimensional modeling including SCDs and fact tables
* Able to support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT for production-ready solutions
* Expertise in performance tuning, monitoring, and issue resolution across data platforms
* Able to contribute within Agile teams including sprint planning, estimation, and documentation
* Strong communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
