Supervise multi-discipline engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity, and/or is recognized as a key reference for technical guidance through depth and breadth of knowledge. Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for OHTL (including EHV 345kV-765kV) by maintaining standards, ensuring compliance, and serving as SME for complex projects.
- Champion a culture of innovation by supporting emerging trends, advancing tools and contributing to cross-functional initiatives that turn concepts into impactful solutions.
- Support project execution with risk mitigation and constructability insights.
- Develop talent via training and mentorship, while representing the company in industry standards committees.
- Applies knowledge and ensures compliance with B&V quality program. Establishes related processes and promotes a culture that is conducive to quality. Support continuous improvement, change management and risk management efforts.
- Lead preparation of complex engineering deliverables, including advanced research, calculations, data management, and innovative technical solutions across multiple or large-scale projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, quality requirements, and coordinates extensively with internal and external teams while often defining project schedules.
- Identity key client interests, ensures they are communicated and integrated into project execution, and supports business development by anticipating future client needs.
- Provide leadership through performance management, career development, workforce planning, and mentoring, including developing successors and guiding lower- and mid-level professionals.
Management ResponsibilitiesSupervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong Experience in 69kV to 500kV overhead transmission line design and working knowledge and/or expertise in Power Line system based programs (i.e., PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.) preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline
- Previous client interaction experience with solid relationship-building abilities in pursuit of business opportunities.
The following experience would be preferred based on the work anticipated from the client:
- Experience with the design of utility-scale electrical transmission systems.
- Structural design of transmission steel structures and their foundations.
- Basic structural steel and concrete experience using 3D analysis and design software.
Minimum Qualifications- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
- Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
