Job Details
Responsibilities:
Lead civil engineering efforts for industrial land development projects from due diligence through construction completion.
Prepare, review, and coordinate site development plans, grading plans, utility layouts, drainage systems, erosion control plans, and stormwater management designs.
Perform site feasibility evaluations, including zoning analysis, utility availability, environmental constraints, and entitlement support.
Coordinate with internal development, construction, architecture, and project management teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Manage outside engineering consultants and review engineering deliverables for quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
Coordinate permitting efforts with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers.
Support site selection activities through technical evaluations and engineering due diligence.
Review geotechnical reports, environmental studies, and survey information to identify project risks and opportunities.
Assist with value engineering initiatives to improve constructability and project efficiency.
Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, evaluating field conditions, and assisting with project closeout.
Ensure projects comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, engineering standards, and permitting requirements.
Maintain project schedules while balancing multiple active developments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
4-10+ years of experience in land development, civil engineering, or site development.
Experience designing commercial, industrial, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or large-scale site development projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, roadway design, and permitting processes.
Experience coordinating with municipalities, utility agencies, and regulatory authorities.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal engineering standards and development regulations.
Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset.
