What you will do:

\n

\n

As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installer works onsite with our commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.

\n

\n

How you will do it:

\n

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Install appropriate devices; dismantle and reassemble equipment as required for Johnson Controls Security Solutions.

  • \n
  • \n

    Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.

  • \n
  • \n

    Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.

  • \n
  • \n

    Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.

  • \n
  • \n

    Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.

  • \n
  • \n

    Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.

  • \n
  • \n

    Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required.

  • \n
  • \n

    Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.

  • \n
  • \n

    May manage installation teams on larger projects.

  • \n
  • \n

    Coach and mentor less experienced installers.

  • \n

What we look for

Required:

    \n
  • \n

    Able to obtain and obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.

  • \n
  • \n

    Some technical school training is a plus.

  • \n
  • \n

    Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operational/product manuals.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to operate hand and power tools.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.

  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

  • \n

Preferred:

    3-5 years of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $21.92 - $30.14 Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
