DESCRIPTION:
As a Software Integration & Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission critical solutions to our customer community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software defined hardware solutions
- Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T, working with hardware and software engineers to resolve
- Follow best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting
- Suppprt development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+
- Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams
- Support AGILE implementation
- Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software
- Maintain accurate records of test activities and results
What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred,
- Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, and scripting languages, Python
- Experience with hardware/software integration testing
- Experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP)
- Willing to work in a fast-paced, rapid-prototype environment, adapting to immediate course correction as needed
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors
