W2 IT PROJECT MANAGER(Google Cloud Platform MIGRATION, API HANDS ON )

Job Description

• The Senior Project Manager will provide project leadership and alignment to program initiatives for the client’s large scale Pricing Transformation program.
• This critical role inherits separate project streams with the goal of combining dual-run testing (legacy JDE vs. cloud-native Pricing 2.0 on Google Cloud Platform), integration of the crucial Pricing Engine Enabler (API switch & migration to Spring Boot), and ongoing vendor execution management.
• The PM is not required to have hands-on engineering and/or architecture experience but must understand the technical delivery and domain lifecycles to successfully lead teams across the finish line.
• The resource must be comfortable operating in matrixed environments and working closely with technical integration leads, product managers, scrum masters, and external partners to ensure overall enterprise readiness leading up to customer migration waves.

Job Duties –

• Dual-Run Testing & Governance: Drive 12 weeks of dual-run testing and validation comparing legacy JDE pricing with the modernized cloud application (Pricing 2.0 in Google Cloud Platform); manage defect resolution workflows and daily replication pipeline operations.

• Pricing Engine Enabler Project Delivery: Manage cross-functional integration across 10 distinct technical teams transitioning from MuleSoft to Spring Boot APIs, enabling customer migration switching between JDE on-prem, JDE in cloud, and new APIs.

• Vendor & Workstream Oversight: Manage day-to-day deliverables, risks, and accountability of vendor’s transition resources to ensure alignment with scope and timelines without direct SOW ownership.

• Centralized PMO Governance: Maintain Smartsheet artifacts, Jira/Confluence boards, RAID logs, dependency maps, and executive status reporting; integrate traditional project schedules with ARTs (SAFe framework).

• Stakeholder Alignment & Working Sessions: Facilitate weekly working sessions, workshops, and status calls with diverse technical and business teams to eliminate blockers, drive critical path milestones, and ensure holiday cutover readiness (Thanksgiving/Christmas freeze windows).

Job Requirements - Mandatory Requirements (Hard Stops):

• Minimum 8+ years of IT Project Management experience managing complex, enterprise-scale technology programs in the preferred technology domains

• Proven experience leading cloud/data integration or API migration projects (e.g., API migrations, Spring Boot/MuleSoft, Google Cloud Platform/cloud infrastructure).

• Hands-on proficiency with enterprise PMO tooling, specifically SmartSheet and Jira/Confluence.

• Strong experience driving cross-functional integration across multiple development teams and external vendor delivery partners (e.g., Big 4 / KPMG).

Tools, Platforms & Domain Knowledge Required:

• API & MIddleware, Cloud & Platform Services, ERP & Enterprise Systems

• Technical Stack Context: Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Spring Boot APIs, MuleSoft APIs, Golden Gate replication pipelines, JD Edwards (JDE), Salesforce Titanium.

• Frameworks: SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Hybrid SDLC.

• PMO & Governance Tools: SmartSheet (Mandatory), Jira & Confluence (Mandatory), Jira Service Management (JSM), MS Excel/Planview.

Desired Skills & Experience - Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior background as a Business Analyst (BA) or Business Systems Analyst (BSA) transitioning into Project Management.

• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile Release Trains (ART), and Program Increment (PI) planning.

• Experience with ERP transformations or decoupling core modules (e.g., JD Edwards / JDE).

• Experience with commercial pricing, finance transformation, or e-commerce systems.

• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or SAFe Agilist
