Job Summary:Salas O'Brien is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers, supporting a variety of projects from early design through construction. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities: - Assist with structural analysis and design calculations under the guidance of senior engineers
- Support the preparation of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, architects, and other disciplines
- Learn to interpret drawings, codes, and project requirements
- Assist with field observations and coordination during construction phases
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions
- Support quality control efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency of work
- Continue developing technical knowledge through training and on-the-job experience
Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis preferred)
- 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops are a plus)
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or working toward it preferred
- Basic understanding of structural design principles and building codes
- Familiarity with design software such as Revit (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is $78,000 - $78,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
