Baer is looking for AI Solution Engineer for a 12-month Federal Project located in Herndon, VA

Title: AI Solution Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Herndon, VA 3 days on site.
Duration: 12 months OR 12 Months contract to hire.
Rate: All-inclusive- Locals ONLY
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Overview
AI Solution Engineer is a dual-hat role combining AI consulting and hands-on engineering. Partner with Lines of Business (LOBs) to identify high-value AI opportunities, design solutions, and build rapid POCs using the enterprise AI Platform, Generative AI, RAG, LLMs, and cloud data services.
Description

• Partner with LOBs to identify AI and automation opportunities and reduce manual effort.
• Analyze business processes, gather requirements, and translate needs into AI solutions.
• Design and build rapid AI POCs using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and AWS services.
• Perform technical feasibility testing and validate LOB data for AI use cases.
• Develop reusable code samples, templates, and reference implementations.
• Support Generative AI adoption and provide technical guidance to business teams.
• Collaborate with business, data, and engineering teams to accelerate AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with Python or JavaScript and REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud data services such as AWS OpenSearch and S3.
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and RAG.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business processes into AI solutions.
• Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor s Degree.
