Job Details

We are seeking a Mechanical Draftsman / Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is responsible for designing and drafting custom machinery, material handling systems, and build-to-print equipment used in industrial manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor and enjoy working on hands-on mechanical systems from concept through fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

Design and draft custom machinery and material handling systems, including vacuum/pressure systems, belt conveyors, and drag conveyor systems.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Develop full mechanical layouts, assemblies, and fabrication drawings for production.
Produce build sheets, BOMs, and detailed documentation for manufacturing and procurement.
Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and buildable.
Support projects from initial system concept and layout through fabrication and installation.
Assist with equipment selection, material specifications, and component sourcing.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure designs meet project specifications, productivity goals, and safety standards.
Utilize advanced 3D CAD tools to help clients visualize equipment and system layouts.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting when required.
