Location: Remote (fully remote for non-locals but local staff goes 1 day/week onsite in San Francisco, CA near BART,)

Our client is seeking an IT Business Analyst (Contract position) to support Supply Chain and Merchandising initiatives for a global retail organization. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, identify opportunities for operational improvement, and support technology and data-driven projects for merchandising operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Planning, and IT stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Create business requirements documents, user stories, and functional specifications.
Support system implementations, enhancements, testing, and user acceptance activities.
Develop reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking to improve business performance and decision-making.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment between business and IT teams.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor''''''''s degree in Business or Supply Chain or Information Systems or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Some Business Analyst experience in merchandising, supply chain (preferably retail).
Some experience with retail planning, merchandising, inventory, or supply chain processes.

Experience working in multinational retail environments.
Familiarity with ERP, merchandising or supply chain platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or similar solutions.
Agile project experience and knowledge of data analytics methodologies.
