Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Core Developer / Programmer Analyst to support the modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform. The role will focus on developing and enhancing backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using .NET Core, C#, Azure, and SQL Server.

The selected candidate will work closely with solution architects, cloud engineers, SQL developers, API developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills

7+ years of hands-on experience with .NET Core and C#
7+ years of experience developing REST APIs and Microservices
7+ years of experience integrating applications with SQL Server, including SQL Server hosted on Azure VM environments
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and development best practices
7+ years of experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines
7+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Preferred Skills

Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices architecture
Experience working with distributed systems and high-availability applications
Experience with SSIS, Databricks, or other ETL/data integration platforms
Experience with tolling, transportation, or transaction-processing systems is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain .NET Core backend services and REST APIs
Build scalable and modular applications using microservices architecture
Support modernization and partial rewrite of an enterprise tolling transaction platform
Collaborate with SQL developers to design and implement efficient data-access patterns
Develop new application features and enhance existing functionality
Participate in application and database performance optimization
Integrate backend applications with Azure services and cloud-based components
Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub
Integrate backend services with ETL pipelines including Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Databricks
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and sprint delivery
Collaborate with architects, developers, cloud engineers, testers, and other cross-functional teams

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must be able to work onsite in Mechanicsville, VA. Local candidates are strongly preferred and must be available for an in-person interview.
