Position OverviewJoin NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center's Advanced Systems Development & Integration team supporting cutting-edge aerospace research and flight test missions. This role provides hands-on engineering experience supporting development, integration, and testing of advanced flight and ground systems.
You will work alongside experienced engineers to translate system requirements into real-world hardware and software solutions supporting innovative aircraft and mission capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport development, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace systems and components
Assist in translating system requirements into hardware and software design solutions
Participate in bench testing, troubleshooting, and system validation
Support system integration across flight and ground systems
Assist with technical documentation, procedures, and reports
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Support laboratory development and checkout activities
Participate in test execution, data collection, and analysis
Support troubleshooting and anomaly resolution

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications- Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0 and good academic standing
Ability to work full-time May through September 2026
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with embedded systems, avionics, integration, or instrumentation
Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or CAD tools
Hands-on lab or internship experience
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
