Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to collaborate with our government clients and manage databases as a part of a cross-functional project team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillset in database management, data analytics, and platform development. This individual will join our Data and AI practice in the DC Metro Area to help our clients to accomplish their mission and achieve their objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Database Administrator, you will:
- Support client?s current analytics platform sustainment and maintenance through administering, testing, patching, and upgrading SQL databases
- Support client analytics platform enhancement and transition through installing, developing, configurating, and implementing SQL databases
- Monitor, troubleshoot, root cause, finetune, and optimize database performance and queries
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard databases and perform backup, restore, and recovery to prevent data loss
- Support platform development tasks related to data management including release management, configuration control, user training and access, and documentation
- Assist with design, modeling, and development of new databases
- patching, and upgrading databases
- Support additional Data and AI practice activities such as demand planning, requirement gathering, delivery-led sales, people development, and solution development
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
- Be at client site full time in Washington, DC metro area
- Bachelor?s Degree or higher is required, preferably in a relevant field such as information technology, information systems, information management, computer engineering, computer science, data analytics, or data science
- Minimum of 3 years of total professional experience
- Demonstrated capability in:
- Leveraging database management knowledge and SQL and RDBMS to provide enterprise-scale database sustainment, development, and enhancement
- Administration of MS SQL Server, Azure/AWS databases, and other structured data repositories
- Troubleshooting, problem solving, and performance analysis of databases
- Planning, developing, testing, and deploying changes and enhancements for databases
- Implementing security measures, managing user access, and setting up recovery protocols
- Designing, configuring, and architecting databases and data schemas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay flexible in a dynamic work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently active government security clearance
- Experience administering cloud-based databases on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Agile or SAFe certifications

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
