Job DetailsLow Voltage Estimator - Data Center Projects
Location: Remote - U.S.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: We are seeking a Low Voltage Estimator to support the continued growth of our mission-critical and data center project portfolio. This position will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for low-voltage systems while working closely with project management, engineering, operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
This is a remote position and an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in low-voltage, controls, electrical, or mission-critical construction who enjoys working on complex, large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for low-voltage systems on data center and mission-critical projects
- Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
- Perform material and labor takeoffs
- Develop project budgets, pricing, and cost estimates
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Review RFQs, RFPs, bid packages, and project requirements
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts
- Assist with value engineering and alternative solutions
- Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to validate project scope
- Support bid reviews, proposal development, and project handoffs
- Evaluate drawings throughout various stages of design and construction
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project partners
Qualifications
- Experience estimating low-voltage, electrical, controls, or technology systems
- Data center or other mission-critical project experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Understanding of low-voltage construction methods, labor requirements, and material costs
- Experience performing takeoffs and developing detailed project estimates
- Familiarity with RFQs, RFPs, bid packages, change orders, and subcontractor/vendor pricing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience with estimating and construction software such as Bluebeam, Accubid, Trimble, PlanSwift, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus
